Professor SI Guomin’s Experience in Treating Depression Syndrome Based on Jueyin Disease

司国民教授立足“齐鲁伤寒流派”学术研究,从《伤寒论》三阴三阳辨证体系入手,认为郁病有寒热错杂表现者,当辨为厥阴病,可予乌梅丸随证加减。用药特色上,将临床经验与中医学理论结合,主张在以厥阴论治的基础上,酌情加用理血药可增强疗效,并强调心理疏导在诊治本病时的作用。通过一则司教授基于乌梅丸加减治疗郁病医案的分析,论证厥阴病与郁病之间的关联性。

In the academic research of the“Qilu Cold Damage School”,based on the syndrome differentiation system of triple-yin and triple-yang in Treatise on Febrile Disease,Professor SI Guomin holds that the depression shows manifestation of mixed cold and heat,and therefore depression could be diagnosed as jueyin disease and treated with Wumei pills modified based on the syndrome variations.In terms of medication characteristics,he combines clinical experience with traditional Chinese medicine theory,advocates that on the basis of jueyin therapy,medicinals for regulating blood should be applied with flexibility to enhance the therapeutic effect,and emphasizes the role of psychological counseling in the diagnosis and treatment of depression.Through a analysis of a medical case of Professor SI treating depression with modified Wumei Pill(乌梅丸),the relationship between jueyin disease and depression was demonstrated.
