Monochamus alternatus is the main vector of pine wood nematode disease.In order to effectively control pine wood nematode disease, we must do a good job in the control of pine Brown longicorn beetle.The technical background of J2020 purple light trapping pine beetle was described.The selection, installation method, data recording method, comparison method of the earliest trapping time between J2020 purple light trapping and attractant to pine beetle,comparison method of the number of sexually mature females, and comparison method of the retention rate of healthy pine tree were introduced. The application of J2020 purple light trapping technology for pine beetle was analyzed in order to provide reference for prevention and control of pine beetle.
