Han Yu’s ancient prose has passed down to the later generations,showing mellow beauty on the whole,especially in the reward and donation works,which account for the majority of his creation. How to understand the ideological value of these articles and the formation of aesthetic style is an important problem. Based on the text analysis of Han Yu’s ancient prose style,such as books,prefaces and tablet inscriptions,this paper emphasizes that Han Yu’s works are a profound expression of the Confucian feeling noumenon,which is dominated by ethics,and that Han Yu also established the ancient prose law,which is both cautious and tortuous,in the process of expressing his ancient prose emotion. Finally,the gentle emotion and the winding of the expression skills make his ancient prose creation generate a vast and deep mellow beauty.
