The purpose of this experiment was to study the effects of silage Alfalfa on the production performance, rumen fermentation and blood biochemical indexes of cows.Thirty lactating cows with similar age, weight, parity and milk yield were randomly divided into two groups, with 3 replicates in each group and 5 cows in each replicate.Among them, the control group was fed with corn alfalfa hay type conventional diet, and the test group was fed with silage alfalfa instead of alfalfa hay, with other components unchanged, for a total of 30 days. The results showed that:(1)Compared with the control group, the TMP and ADMP of the experimental group were significantly increased(P<0.05);Compared with the control group, the F/M of the test group was significantly lower(P<0.05).(2)Compared with the control group, the pH value and AN of the cows in the test group were significantly decreased(P<0.05);Compared with the control group, the VFA and BA in the experimental group were significantly increased(P<0.05).(3)Compared with the control group, the TP and ALB in the serum of the cows in the test group increased by 2.8%and 7.4%respectively(P<0.05).Conclusion:Using silage alfalfa instead of alfalfa hay in the diet of cows can improve the production performance of dairy cows and improve rumen fermentation.
