主流还是边缘--关于具象雕塑教学的思考

摘要 中国的学院具象雕塑发展到今天,已经完全不同于20世纪90年代的面貌。当我们再次审视时,一个明显的现象是雕塑家们已经把雕塑自身的各种方法都探寻了,几乎穷尽了所有的方法。同时还把具象雕塑与图像、具象雕塑与新媒体、具象雕塑与观念艺术等的关系和路径都探寻了一遍。今天的具象雕塑家再进行雕塑创作之时就变得困难重重,不得不寻求另外的路径和方法。也正是这样,当具象雕塑在寻求与其他艺术门类(如装置艺术、新媒体艺术、影像艺术等)的结合之时,具象雕塑自身的边界也变得模糊不清,并且这一现象变得越来越凸显。当代具象雕塑的边界突破之后,具象雕塑已经是多元的发展,不再以传统的塑造、形体、结构、材料等作为评判的唯一标准。今天的具象雕塑与新媒体、社会介入等相结合的方式出现,呈现多元并茂的特点。这时,我们不禁会问两个问题:其一,具象雕塑在学院雕塑系科中的地位如何?其二,学院雕塑系科是否坚持具象雕塑教学? Today’s study of figurative sculpture in Chinese colleges has been completely different from the 1990s.When we look again,an obvious phenomenon is that sculptors have already discovered all kinds of methods of sculpture itself,and also explored the relationship and path between figurative sculpture and image,figurative sculpture and new media,figurative sculpture and conceptual art.Thus,it is difficult for today’s figurative sculptors to conceive their creative works,and they have to seek other paths and methods.In addition,it is precisely because of the factor mentioned above,when figurative sculpture seeks to combine with other art categories(such as installation art,new media art,video art,etc.),the boundary of figurative sculpture itself becomes blurred,and this phenomenon becomes more and more prominent.After the breakthrough of the boundary of contemporary figurative sculpture,figurative sculpture has been diversified and no longer takes the traditional shape,form,structure and material as the sole criterion for judging.Today’s figurative sculpture appears in a way of combining with new media and social intervention,showing the characteristics of diversified excellences.At this time,we cannot help but ask two questions:Firstly,what is the status of figurative sculpture in the department of sculpture of the college?Secondly,does the department of sculpture of the college insist on the teaching of figurative sculpture?
