Equine intestinal obstruction is an acute abdominal pain disease with complete or incomplete obstruction of a certain segment of intestine.Because of its high incidence rate and high mortality rate,it has caused great economic losses to fish farms. In order to effectively prevent and cure the disease, improve the cure rate and reduce the mortality of horses, based on the detailed analysis of the gastrointestinal digestive characteristics and causes of the disease, combined with a case of mass obstruction in a horse farm in Gansu Province in September 2021,the author analyzed the causes of the disease from the perspective of feeding management, and follows the principles of “ease pain” “dredge the intestines” “rehydration to strengthen heart” “intestinal decompression” and “nursing”,according to different clinical symptoms treated in turn, and the exact clinical effect was achieved. At the same time, the treatment methods and prevention and control strategies at home and abroad were discussed, which could provide an important reference for improving the cure rate of the disease.
