论朱剑凡女学教育思想的原由及其对湖南女子教育的深远意义

On the Origin of Zhu Jianfan’s Female Education Thought and Its Farreaching Significance to Women’s Education of Hunan

朱剑凡因不满封建家庭中女性遭际而触发、受呼吁女子教育权的时代潮流影响、对兴办女学有益于国家救亡图存信念的持守等原由,“毁家兴学”创办周南女校,确立了“启迪民智、救亡图存”的办学宗旨,推行“教学与社会生活相结合,为社会改造和建设服务”教育改革,确立了女校教育大格局,促进了近代湖南女子教育的发展。

Triggered by his dissatisfaction with the plight of women in feudal families, influenced by the trend of the times calling for women’s education rights, and with his adherence to the belief that the establishment of women’s schools was beneficial to the national salvation and survival, Zhu Jianfan founded Zhounan women’s school by "donating all his possessions to set up a school". Therefore, he established the school running purpose of "enlightening the wisdom of the people and saving the nation and survival", and implemented the educational reform of "combining teaching with social life and serving social transformation and construction", which established the general pattern of women’s school education and promoted the development of modern women’s education of Hunan.
