《红楼梦》“篆儿”考辨

A Study on Zhuan’er in A Dream of Red Mansions

篆儿在《红楼梦》庚辰本出现三次,作为邢岫烟丫头的篆儿没有异文,作为宝玉丫头的篆儿有异文,其中甲辰本的异文是箓儿。篆儿名字的含义符合邢岫烟的人物设定。宝玉的丫头本名应该是箓儿,由于字形相近,被误抄为篆儿。篆儿的词汇异文说明晚出的版本也能保留原稿本来信息。

Zhuan’er appeares three times in Gengchen edition of A Dream of Red Mansions. Zhuan’er, as a maid of Xing Xiuyan,has no variation. But Zhuan’er, as a maid of Baoyu, has variation, among which the variation of Jiachen edition is Lu’er. The meaning of her name conforms to Xing Xiuyan’s character setting. The real name of Baoyu’s maid should be Lu’er. Due to the similar characters, it was mistakenly copied as Zhuan’er. The lexical variant of zhuan’er shows that the later version can retain the original manuscript’s information.
