汉语动词重叠构式研究

A Study of Chinese VV Construction from the Perspective of Cognitive Linguistics

汉语动词重叠式是一种常见的语言结构。基于认知语言学理论,本文主要研究了汉语动词重叠式表示“时量减少”语义这一认知构建机制。本文运用“有界vs无界”理论、认知心理扫描理论以及构式语法理论,发现两个相同的原型基式动词叠加后,一个动词(V1)的时间性会被另一动词(V2)临时衍生的空间性所冲减,并形成一个“时空同态”的完形结构。由此可见,所有汉语动词重叠式均可视为一种语法构式,并具有“时量减少”语义。

The Chinese VV Construction as a grammatical structure is pervasively popular.With a theoretical framework based on cognitive linguistics,this paper probes into the mechanism of decrement or reduction in quantity with a given Chinese VV Construction.Based on the respective theories of boundedness vs unboundedness,cognitive scanning,and construction grammar,it is discovered that the addition of two single Chinese base-verbs can bring about the emergence of time-space conflation as a gestalt,symbolically indicating a multicultural integration,which is a mode of thought favored by Chinese.Additionally,all Chinese VV structures can be regarded as a grammatical construction with a constructional meaning,namely a speaker’s construal of decrement or reduction in quantity.The paper concludes by arguing that the research is of some help to cognitive linguistics,psychology and teaching Chinese as a foreign language to speakers of other languages.
