In this study, the contamination level, component and ecological risk assessment of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)of soils on both sides of the Yellow River estuary was analyzed in the Yellow River Delta national Nature Reserve. The results show that the mean of PAH concentrations of soil was 122.96 ng/g in the 7 sample sites, belong to medium pollution level. The average concentration of PAHs in soil of the north bank of the Yellow River Estuary was lower than that in the south bank, but the difference was not significant. The PAHs in the soil of the north bank of the Yellow River Estuary was low pollution level, while the PAHs in the soil of the south bank was medium pollution level.Nap was all found in 7 soil samples from both sides of the Yellow River estuary, and its content accounted for 90.56% of ΣPAH16 content. The composition of PAHs in soil was mainly 2-ring.According to the analysis of the structure and properties of PAHs,the main pollution sources of PAHs in the soil of the Yellow River estuary were crude oil leakage or natural volatilization of fossil fuels.Based on the m-ERM-Q and TEQ analysis, the ecological risk of PAHs in the 7 sample sites in the Yellow River Estuary was relatively low.
