The effect of Metformin on host-microbial metabolites in rats with glycolipid metabolism disorders

Objective To investigate the effect of Metformin on host-microbial metabolites in rats with glycolipid metabolism disorders by metabolomics method, and to explain the mechanism of Metformin in improving glycolipid metabolism.Methods Rats were randomly divided into normal control group(Con), model group(Mod) and Metformin group (Met). Feces were collected from each group. Ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) system was used to quantitate the fecal metabolites in each group.
