Photodynamic therapy(PDT)utilizes photosensi-tizer(PS)together with irradiation light of specific wavelength interacting with oxygen to generate cytotoxic reactive oxygen species,which has been approved for the treatment of several maligr nant and non-malignant pathologies.Most recently,en-hanced PDT has been achieved by using novel nano-PSs,1 new light sources,2 oxygen supply,and synergistic therapy.
