Creating a New Green Landmark by Efficient Utilization of Water——A Case Study of the Landscape Design of Beichuan River Ecological Riverway Construction Project in Xining

北川河是近几年西宁市最大的生态滨水建设项目,整体以“清水入城”战略为出发点,以“高原水城、夏都花园、文化走廊”为形象定位,对曾经脏乱差的河道进行全面综合治理,将整个北川河建设成有文化、有品质、有内涵、有特色的新型滨水景观风貌带,拓展西宁城市发展格局。通过对北川河设计及建设过程中的总结和思考,对定位进行深度解读,研究项目成败的利弊,为城市大型公共开放空间项目带来思考。

Beichuan River is the largest ecological waterfront construction project in Xining city in recent years.This project takes the strategy of"clear water into the city"as the starting point,takes"the water city of plateau,the garden of summer resort capital,and the cultural corridor"as the image orientation,carries on the comprehensive management to the once dirty river course and constructs the whole Beichuan River into a new band of waterfront landscape with style and features full of culture,quality,connotation,and characteristics.This will expand the urban development pattern of Xining.By summarizing and cogitate about the design and construction of Beichuan River,this paper deeply interprets the orientation,studies the advantages and disadvantages of the success or failure of the project,and brings thoughts to the large-scale public open space project of the city.
