Rural elderly care is related to the well-being of the elderly and plays an important role in maintaining rural kinship ties and the harmonious development of rural communities.Nowadays,the factors affecting the happiness of the elderly not only include economic support and mental comfort but also needs for work,communication,and community service.Although family care is regarded as an ideal way for rural elderly support,the challenges posed by the changes in family structure and employment cannot be neglected.Thus,the rural governance should make full use of the rural environmental,social,and cultural resources and guide younger seniors to participate in elderly care services and village affairs to satisfy their working and communication needs and to contribute to rural elderly care.Only by actively optimizing the rural elderly community care system and the social support mechanism can rural family elderly care be further consolidated and developed.
