远去的花手帕——浅谈20世纪上海手帕业简史

The Fading Colorful Handkerchief——Brief discussion of the history of Shanghai handkerchief Industry in the 20th century

20世纪手帕曾是人们拭泪、擦汗的首选,作为中国纺织工业重要基地的上海,其手帕业生产也曾独树一帜,不断创新,名优产品迭出,然而随着社会生活的发展和生活习惯的改变,手帕逐渐被即用即弃的纸巾所取代,手帕行业也日趋萧条。2021年11月,中国丝绸博物馆举办了一场名为“远去的花手帕——20世纪的上海手帕业”的展览,展出30余件20世纪的手帕实物、设计稿及相关文献藏品,本文以此批展品为研究的切入口,深入剖析20世纪上海手帕业的发展历程。

In the 20th century,handkerchief was the first choice of people to wipe tears or sweat.In Shanghai which is an important base of China’s textile industry,the handkerchief industry production was unique and continuously innovative with famous and excellent products emerged one after another.But with the development of social life and the change of living habits,handkerchief is gradually replaced by disposable paper towel and handkerchief industry is also in decline.In November 2021,the China Silk Museum held an exhibition titled“The Fading Colorful Handkerchief--Shanghai handkerchief industry in 20th century”,exhibiting more than 30 pieces of 20th century handkerchief objects,design manuscripts and related documents.Taking these exhibits as the starting point,this paper deeply analyzes the development process of the handkerchief industry in Shanghai in the 20th century.
