Investigation on the Current Situation of Greenback Goat Breeding in Xing County

兴县青背山羊是兴县的一种土种山羊,因大多数山羊为青黑毛,俗称“青背山羊”。在20世纪50~60年代,村集体和个户家家饲养,为促进地方经济发挥了积极的作用。但随着时代的发展,这种羊的生产性能不能适应当今市场经济的需要而被淘汰绝迹。现就全国畜禽遗传资源普查,对此品种羊进行了调查。

The greenbacked goat is a kind of native goat in Xing County. Because most of the goats have green and black hair, it is commonly known as "greenbacked goat". In the 1950 s and 1960 s, village collectives and individual households played an active role in promoting the local economy. But with the development of the times, the production performance of this kind of sheep cannot meet the needs of today’s market economy and has been eliminated. This breed of sheep has been investigated for the national census of livestock and poultry genetic resources.
