This paper presented the importance of automobile lightweight through energy-saving and emission reduction strategies,focused on the application advantages and application directions of aluminum alloys in automobile lightweight,and proposed challenges facing automobile aluminum alloy lightweight including insufficient material accumulation,connection technologies,painting performance and stamping process technologies,providing reference for the popularization and application of aluminum alloys in automobile lightweight.
