论文化现代性与作为跨文化事件的“异”——兼论文化三个“我”之间的隐秘关系

Cultural Modernity and “Heterogeneity” as a Cross-cultural Event——Also on the Secret Relationship Amongthe Three Cultural Conceptions of “Self”

“异质性”和“现代性”是文化两大在体性结构品质,要想深化中西跨文化比较,增进双方异质传统之间的文明互鉴意义及其理解,就需要把对“异质性”静态特征的横向比较纳入对“现代性”动态审视的纵向视野中,深入考辨“异质性”和“现代性”两者之间相互利用、相互渗透、相互支撑、相互促成的复杂关系,既看到“异质性”传统及格局的现代意义,也看到“现代性”发生及演进中的异质基因与异质力量。实际上,正是在世界文化的多元异质存在及其相互交往对话、互鉴比照被文化现代性所利用,以及被文化的现代认同与守护、现代传承与发展所渗透时,“异”便不再只是静态性的存在,而更是成了现代的一种跨文化事件、跨文化策略、跨文化行动介入,直接决定了文化基于本土“自我”这个原点而对异域“他我”的话语构建,决定着现代“非我”的意义生成。文化这三个“我”之间的隐秘纠葛,实质性地反映了在世界多元异质格局影响下,文化发展以本土“自我”为源为母,以异域“他我”为参照为坐标为支点,以现代“非我”为方向为远景,从本土观猎异域、从现世规划未来的一种现代图景。

“Heterogeneity” and “modernity” are two big ontological cultural structures. To deepen the comparison between Chinese and western cultures, enhance the mutual learning and understanding of the heterogeneouscivilizations, it is necessary to put the “heterogeneity” static characteristics of the transverse comparison of “modernity” into the longitudinal view of dynamic scanning, to examine the complex relationship of mutual utilization, penetration, support and promotion between “heterogeneity” and “modernity” so as not only to get the modern meaning of heterogeneity, but also to find the heterogeneous genes and forces in the generation and evolution of modernity. In fact, when the diverse heterogeneous world cultures and their interactions and comparisons are used, identified, maintained, inherited and further developed by cultural modernity, heterogeneity is no longer static, but a cross-cultural event, strategy, and intervention. It determines the discourse construction of the heterogeneous alien “self” based on the original “self” and leads to the generation of modern non-self. The hidden entanglement of the three conceptions of “SELF” actually reflect the fact that under the influence of the diverse world heterogeneity, culture develops with the local self as the origin, the alien self as reference, and the modern non-self as the future vision to form a modern scenario of seeing the alien with a local viewpoint and planning for the future based on the present situation.
