Developing China’s Translation Discipline and International Communication Capacity in the Context of New Liberal Arts:An Interview with Mr.Huang Youyi

黄友义先生就新文科背景下如何建设翻译学科和翻译专业接受了采访。在访谈中,黄先生首先从新版《学科专业目录》修订谈起,分析了翻译学科的重新定位及其对翻译学科的新文科建设可能产生的影响。其次,他回顾了翻译学科的发展历程及其中存在的问题,阐述了翻译学术学位教育和专业学位教育之间的区别。之后,他讨论了翻译学科在国际传播能力建设中的重要作用,并就翻译专业的新文科建设提出了具有建设性的观点。

This article is an interview with Mr.Huang Youyi on how to develop the translation discipline and the translation major in the context of new liberal arts.In the interview,Mr.Huang firstly talked about the revision of The Catalogue of Disciplines and Majors,and analyzed the repositioning of the translation discipline and its possible impact on the development of the translation discipline.Secondly,he reviewed the evolution of the translation discipline and related issues,and elaborated on the differences between academic degree education and professional degree education in translation.After that,he discussed the important role of the translation discipline in developing China’s international communication capacity,and shared constructive views on the development of the translation discipline in the context of new liberal arts.
