被动性社交网站使用与青少年心理健康的关系:向上社会比较和友谊质量的中介作用

Relationship between passive use of social networking sites and mental health of the adolescents:The mediating role of upward social comparison and friendship quality

目的:基于心理健康双因素模型,探讨被动性社交网站使用与心理健康的关系,及向上社会比较和友谊质量在二者关系间的中介作用。方法:采用被动性社交网站使用问卷、向上社会比较量表、友谊质量量表、心理健康问卷对619名中学生进行调查。结果:①被动性社交网站使用与向上社会比较(r=0.13,P<0.01)、消极心理指标呈正相关(r=0.13,P<0.01),与友谊质量(r=-0.08,P<0.05)、积极心理指标(r=-0.12,P<0.01)呈显著负相关;②友谊质量在被动性社交网站使用与心理健康消极指标之间存在部分中介作用;③被动性社交网站使用通过向上社会比较和友谊质量的链式中介作用对心理健康积极指标产生影响。结论:被动性社交网站使用影响青少年心理健康消极与积极指标的模式不同,其均可通过友谊质量影响青少年心理健康的消极与积极指标,但通过向上社会比较、友谊质量的链式中介作用仅能对心理健康积极指标产生影响。

Objective:To explore the relationship between passive use of social networking sites and mental health of adolescents based on the dual-factor model of mental health(DFM),and potential mediating role of upward social comparison and friendship quality.Methods:A total of 619middle school students were investigated by using the passive social networking website questionnaire,upward social comparison scale,friendship quality scale and mental health questionnaire.Results:①The passive use of social networking sites was positively correlated with upward social comparison(r=0.13,P<0.01)and negative indicators of mental health(r=0.13,P<0.01),and negatively correlated with friendship quality(r=-0.08,P<0.05)and positive indicators of mental health(r=-0.12,P<0.01);②Friendship quality had partial mediating effect between passive use of social networking sites and negative indicators of mental health;③The passive use of social networking sites indirectly predicted positive indicators of mental health through the chain mediation of upward social comparison and friendship quality.Conclusion:There are different pathways that passive use of social networking sites has effects on the negative and positive indicators of mental health,which both through the mediation of friendship quality,but it only has impact on positive indicators of mental health through the chain mediation of upward social comparison and friendship quality.
