As one of the major carbon emission industries, the "double carbon" target puts forward important requirements for the sustainable development of transportation industry.Taking Yangzhou transportation industry as the research object, the "top-down" method is used to calculate the total carbon emission and carbon emission intensity of Yangzhou transportation. The development trend of total transport carbon emission, per capita transport carbon emission, transport carbon emission intensity and transport carbon emission structures are analyzed. The results show that the total and per capita carbon emission of transportation in Yangzhou are on the rise, but the growth rate shows a downward trend in the later period; The value of carbon emission intensity is relatively small, showing the overall change characteristics of "down-up-down".In order to construct the green development path of Yangzhou traffic, the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward from the aspects of improving the traffic management structures, optimizing the traffic and transportation structures and adjusting the traffic and energy structures,so as to provide decision-making basis for Yangzhou traffic to achieve green and low-carbon circular development under the "double carbon" target.
