This paper first briefly expounds the significance of strengthening cost management and control in metallurgical engineering, and secondly, based on the current situation and existing problems of metallurgical engineering project cost management, it analyzes the design stage, bidding stage, construction stage and contract management of metallurgical engineering. Finally, it discusses the optimization measures of metallurgical engineering cost control, so as to effectively control the project cost and improve the economic and social benefits of project investment.
