喜剧的产生,是与人的生命需要相系的。喜剧精神是人类或人与生俱来的本能。中西两大文化谱系既具有人类普泛意义上的共性,也有各自文化孕育的独特个性。中西喜剧在产生、发展轨迹和基本特征方面都存在着一定的差异,而这些差异是与各自的文化、思维和审美密不可分的。

The production of comedy is closely related to the needs of human life. Comedy spirit is an innate instinct of human beings. The two cultural genealogies of China and the West have both commonalities in the universal sense of mankind and unique personalities bred by their respective cultures.
