The Cause of the Love Tragedy in Border Town

沈从文小说《边城》中翠翠的爱情悲剧,已有不少著作和文章进行论述。本文在前人研究的基础上,采用文本细读方法,运用创伤理论,进一步探究翠翠爱情悲剧的成因——失去女儿的创伤:老船夫对翠翠爱情的延宕;时代创伤对傩送的挤压及失去父母的创伤:翠翠的害羞与沉默,一起扼杀了翠翠的爱情。

The love tragedy of Cuicui in Shen Congwen's novel Border Town has been discussed in many works and articles.On the basis of previous studies,this paper adopts the method of close reading and the trauma theory to further explore the cause of Cuicui's love tragedy——the trauma of losing a daughter:the delay of the old boatman's love for Cuicui;the squeeze of time trauma on Nuosong and the trauma of losing parents:Cuicui's shyness and silence,kill Cuicui's love together.
