The influence of policies,new technology development,safety production requirements and data management safety on city gas industry is analyzed.The problems existing in the management of the gas pipeline network are expounded,and the future development direction of the city gas industry(carrying out comprehensive inspection of steel pipelines,establishing a pipeline management database,unmanned aerial vehicle patrol inspection,pipeline network confined space leakage early warning and carrying out fiber-optic vibration early warning)is pointed out.
