Objective To study the perceived stress level among medical staff in a hospital of Tianjin, analyze the difference of perceived stress among different groups of medical staff, and provide reference for relieving the perceived stress of medical staff. Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted. 603 medical workers(including doctors and nurses) in a hospital of Tianjin were investigated from August to October 2021. The Chinese perceived stress scale(CPSS) was used to evaluate the perceived stress of medical staff, and the data were analyzed. Results The score of perceived stress among 603 medical workers was(23.13±8.66)points,and 42.79% of medical workers felt stressed out. There was statistically significant difference in the proportion of higher stress among different positions(χ^(2)=6.153,P<0.05). The proportion of higher stress among medical workers with night shifts was significantly higher than that among medical workers without night shifts (χ^(2)=10.498,P<0.05). Conclusion The attention should be paid to the perceived stress level of nurses and medical workers with night shifts in Tianjin. It is suggested that measures such as post rotation should be taken to reduce external stressors, venting rooms should be established and psychological counseling services or lectures should be arranged to improve the medical staff’s ability to bear and adapt to pressure.
