摘要
1922年9月至1925年6月,刘国钧在美国威斯康星大学留学。1922-1924年在图书馆学校学习图书馆学,修读了编目、分类、参考等部分课程,成绩优秀,平均分约90分,获得了有条件的毕业证书;1922-1925年在文理学院哲学系攻读哲学研究生,成绩极为优异,平均分达94.4分,并先后于1923年6月和1925年6月获得文学硕士和哲学博士学位。学成归国后,刘国钧发展了富有哲理的图书馆学理论,在分类、编目等图书馆学核心领域做出了巨大贡献。
LIU Kwoh-Chuin studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from September 1922 to June 1925.He studied library science in library school of the University from 1922 to 1924,taking some courses such as cataloging,classification and reference,achieved excellent grades with an average score of about 90,and obtained a limited diploma.From 1922 to 1925,he studied philosophy as a graduate student in the Department of Philosophy,College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Wisconsin,with excellent grades of an average score of 94.4.In June 1923 and June 1925,he successively obtained Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees.After returning to China,LIU Kwoh-Chuin developed library science theory containing philosophy and made great contributions to the core areas of library science such as classification and cataloging.
