The article summarizes the international engineering education related agreements and professional certification standards,analyzes the current situation of the construction of the teaching standard system of higher vocational education in China,and expounds the necessity of professional certification in higher vocational colleges in China from three aspects:cultivating technical skilled personnel required by the industry,ensuring the quality of personnel training,and promoting the internationalization of higher vocational education in China.It also puts forward the implementation path of higher vocational professional certification through the establishment of a certification standard development team,the enforcement of standard interpretation training,and the launch of sub regional level by level professional certification pilot.
