《安尼尔的鬼魂》中道家与尼采思想共存现象探究

技能上升为艺术,从艺术中寻求精神庇护,是中国古代道家思想与西方现代尼采思想的交汇,也是翁达杰小说《安尼尔的鬼魂》中主人公们应对战争苦难的共同选择。通过道家和尼采这两种具代表性的东西方思想及其所蕴含的“无为”和“权力意志”的处世之道,可以探究小说中的人物投身于各自技能的生存方式,以及他们对真相所持的不同主张。该小说提供了一种精神自由的途径,试图揭示真相之所以复杂的深层原因,传递了作者对东西方文化交融互通的坚定信念与化解东西方隔阂的美好愿望。

Making skills rise to art, and seeking spiritual shelter from art, is where the ancient Chinese Taoist thought meets Western modern Nietzschean thought, and it is also the common choice of the protagonists in Ondaatje’s novel Anil’s Ghost to deal with the suffering of war.Using Taoism and Nietzsche’s thought, two representative eastern and western philosophies, and their ways of survival of “inaction” and “will to power”,we explore how the characters in the novel devote themselves to their own skills to survive, as well as their different beliefs about the truth.This paper proposes that the novel provides a way of spiritual freedom, attempts to reveal the deep reasons of the complexity of the truth, and conveys the author’s firm belief in the integration of the cultures of East and West and good wish to dissolve the estrangement between East and West.
