两汉皇家宫廷研究的精品之作--读宋杰《汉代宫廷居住研究》

宋杰《汉代宫廷居住研究》从宫殿建置的角度出发,将静态的建筑空间与活动着的人相互联系,对两汉皇室的居住情况、侍奉机构及其时代特征做了深入探讨。其主要特点有四:一是独特丰富的研究内容,系统考察了汉代的两宫分居制度、皇帝的居住区域、禁内侍奉机构、东汉宫室徙居、后妃居处的演变、后妃的“就馆”与“外舍产子”风俗、两汉时期的太子宫等;二是扎实可靠的研究方法,将传世文献和出土文献、考古报告有机结合起来;三是富有创新的研究结论,对两宫分居制度、“外舍产子”风俗、灵帝的历史地位、太子宫的位置、黄门始于何时等问题多有发覆;四是历史学、人类学、民族学等多学科交叉的研究视野,颇具启发意义。该书在某些史料的引证与理解方面,以及个别论著和古籍版本的选择等,亦存在不足。但瑕不掩瑜,仍可谓近年来两汉皇家宫廷研究的精品之作。

Song Jie,in Study on the Residence of the Court in the Han Dynasty,from the view of the construction and establishment of the palace,connects the static building space with the dynamic people,and makes an in-depth discussion on the living situation,service institutions and characteristics of the times of the imperial families in the Han Dynasty.The book has four main features:first,it has unique and meticulous research content.It systematically examines the separation system of the emperor and queen dowager in the Han Dynasty,the living area of the emperor,the service institutions with imperial palace,the migration of the residence of the emperor in the Eastern Han Dynasty,the evolution of the residence of the empresses,the tradition of"giving birth at a side palace"and"giving birth in an outside dwelling"among empresses,the Prince’s Palace of the Han Dynasties etc.Second,it has sturdy and reliable research method.It organically integrates historical documents with unearthed documents and archaeological reports.Third it has innovative research conclusions,which has explored the separation system of the emperor and queen dowager,the tradition of“giving birth in an outside dwelling",the historical status of the emperor Ling,the location of the prince’s palace,the initiation date of the Yellow Gates(Huangmen黄门)and so on.Fourth,it possess an enlightening interdisciplinary view focusing on history,anthropology,ethnology and so on.There are also some deficiencies in this book as for the citation and understanding of some historical documents,as well as the selection on editions of specific works and ancient books.However,these defects cannot obscure the virtues.The book can still be regarded as an excellent work of the imperial court of the Han Dynasty in recent years.
