诸葛亮先祖并非诸葛丰考

Textual Research Disputing that Zhuge Liang’s Ancestor Was Zhuge Feng

受陈寿《三国志》的影响,传统观念认为西汉元帝时期的名臣诸葛丰是诸葛亮的先祖。但经仔细考证,诸葛亮本人从未称诸葛丰之后;《三国志》对此记述前后矛盾;诸葛氏家谱谱系记述不明等原因,因此诸葛丰为诸葛亮先祖不足为信。诸葛丰为诸葛亮先祖是中国古代文人美化名人、推崇伟人文化情结的体现。

Influenced by Chen Shou’s Records of the Three Kingdoms(三国志),Zhuge Feng,a famous official serving Emperor Yuan’s reign in the Western Han Dynasty,is conventionally believed to be the ancestor of Zhuge Liang.However,after careful textual research,it is found that Zhuge Liang himself never claimed to be descended from Zhuge Feng and that the Records of the Three Kingdoms(三国志)was inconsistent in its account in this regard.As the genealogy of the Zhuge family was not clear,the belief of Zhuge Feng being Zhuge Liang’s ancestor cannot be seen as convincingly tenable.The misconception of Zhuge Feng being the ancestor of Zhuge Liang is merely a result of the embodiment of the cultural complex of beautifying celebrities and advocating great men in ancient China.
