信息技术辅助教学能提升落后地区学生的学业表现吗?——来自华北某县智慧课堂和双师教学项目的证据 被引量:5

Can ICT-Assisted Teaching Improve the Academic Performance of Students in Underdeveloped Region?Quasi-natural Experimental Evidence from the Smart Classroom and Double-Teacher Teaching Projects in a County in Northern China

摘要 以华北某县实施的智慧课堂和双师教学项目为准自然实验,通过1114名学生样本数据,利用双重差分法首次评估了这两个项目对学生学业表现的影响。研究表明,智慧课堂在实施初期对学生成绩造成了负面影响,但随着时间推移这种负面影响转变为正向影响,在项目实施近一年后,该项目使学生主科总分上升了3.60分,特别是对学生英语成绩的提升起到了显著促进作用。从学生和其家庭异质性来看,男生、有网课经历、学习成绩中等或最优、父母受教育水平较高、家庭经济条件较差的学生更加受益于此项目。双师教学项目在短期内显著提高了学生的主科总成绩和数学成绩,在项目进行的不到4个月的时间里,项目使学生主科总分和数学成绩分别提升4.88分和6.89分,但其长期影响效应还需进一步考察。应充分利用“互联网+教育”大平台,发挥现代信息技术在跨时空配置优质教育资源方面的优势,为落后地区引入优质教育科技助学项目、推动信息化教育教学实践,以进一步缩小区域和城乡教育差距,促进教育公平。 Based on a quasi-natural experiment conducted in a county in Northern China,the effects of smart classroom and double-teacher teaching programs on students’academic performance were evaluated for the first time by using DID method based on the data of 1114 students.The research shows that the smart classroom project had a negative impact on students’academic performance at early stage of its implementation,but as time went on,the negative impact turned positive.After nearly one year of implementation,the total scores of students in the main subjects had increased by 3.60 points,and it played a significant role in promoting students’English scores.From the perspective of the heterogeneity of students and their families,boys,students with online course experience,students who had average or excellent academic performance,students whose parents had higher education level,and students whose family economic conditions were poor more likely to benefit from this project.In the short term,the double-teacher teaching project had significantly improved the students’scores of main subjects and mathematics.In less than 4 months,the program had increased students’total scores of main subjects and mathematics by 4.88 points and 6.89 points,but its long-term effect needed to be further investigated.This study provides useful enlightenment for introducing high quality educational science and technology assisted learning projects,promoting informationized education and teaching practice,and promoting government,school and enterprise cooperation in underdeveloped regions.
