摘要
牙颌面畸形是由遗传因素、环境因素等引起的一种生长发育畸形,会严重影响患者生理及心理健康。超出正畸极限的牙颌面畸形需要正颌外科手术治疗。然而传统的正颌外科在牙颌面畸形的诊断、治疗计划设计、预后评估方面需要耗费大量的人力且准确率较低。目前,随着人工智能在正颌外科领域中的应用,牙颌面畸形的诊断、治疗和预后工作的准确性和效率显著提高。因此,人工智能正逐渐改变传统的牙颌面畸形诊疗模式,并可能成为未来正颌外科领域发展的主要方向。本文回顾了人工智能在正颌外科的诊断、治疗计划设计、术后效果预测以及术后效果评估4个方面的进展,并对人工智能在正颌外科的进一步应用提出了展望。
Dentofacial deformition is a kind of developmental malformation caused by many factors such as genes and the environment, which seriously affect the physiological and psychological health of the patients. Orthognathic surgery will be needed to correct the deformity if it is out of the limit of orthodontic treatment. However, traditional orthognathic surgery is labor-intensive and inaccurate in diagnosis, design of treatment plan, prediction, and evaluation of postoperative facial esthetics of dentofacial deformities. At present, with artificial intelligence progressively used in orthognathic surgery, it is gradually changing the traditional orthognathic diagnosis and treatment model and probably becoming the main direction of future development in orthognathic surgery. This paper reviews the progress of artificial intelligence in four aspects of orthognathic surgery: diagnosis, design of treatment plan, prediction and assessment of postoperative facial esthetics, and presents the perspective on the further application of artificial intelligence in orthognathic surgery.
