简·奥斯丁(Jane Austen)的小说展示了18世纪末19世纪初英国女性生活的社会图景,突出女性教育的重要性。她在《劝导》中通过安妮的个体形象,提倡培育富有同情心的想象力,逐步建立起实现自我情感需求和社会价值的女性主体意识,为女性教育的困惑指明了方向。简·奥斯丁融风景描写于女性教育的叙事手法为作品增添了艺术魅力,富有暗示的风景描写是解开女性主体意识的密码,显示出女性主体意识建构过程的深度、美感和复杂性。
Jane Austen’s novels show the social picture of women’s life in Britain in the late 18 th century and early 19 th century. Her attention to women’s education goes beyond her time. By shaping the femal image of Anne in Persuasion, Austin points out the direction for the confusion of women’s education by cultivating compassionate imagination and realizing the integration of “self” and “other and me”, so as to construct female subject consciousness. Austin’s narrative technique of integrating landscape description into women’s education adds artistic charm to the works. The suggestive landscape description is decoding, which shows the depth, beauty and complexity of the process of constructing women’s consciousness.
