Application status and the prospect of augmented reality technology in tumor radiotherapy

摘要 目的 综述增强现实(AR)技术的主要特点及其在肿瘤放射治疗领域中的应用现状,以期提高对AR技术的认识和理解,促进AR技术在肿瘤放射治疗领域的应用与发展。方法 应用中国知网、PubMed和Web of Science数据库,中文关键词为“增强现实”“放射治疗”,英文关键词为“Augmented Reality”“Radiotherapy”,检索2000-01-01-2022-04-05相关文献。纳入标准:(1)增强现实技术的发展现状;(2)增强现实技术在肿瘤放射治疗领域中的应用。排除标准:(1)无法获取全文的文献;(2)专利型文献;(3)重复类文献。最终共纳入文献43篇。结果AR技术在肿瘤放射治疗领域的教育培训、放疗摆位、放射性粒子植入、放疗计划评估及放疗中呼吸控制等多环节中均显示出良好的应用前景。AR技术在放疗教育培训方面的应用,是短期内较易实现的发展方向。放疗摆位与放射性粒子植入对精度要求较高,亟待AR关键技术的解决。应用AR技术辅助患者行呼吸控制,其可行性与实用性有待进一步探讨。结论 随着关键技术的攻克,AR技术同肿瘤放射治疗的结合会更加紧密,将推动放疗朝更加智能化和精准化的方向发展。 Objective To review the main features of augmented reality(AR) technology and its application status in the field of tumor radiation therapy, in order to improve the knowledge and understanding of AR technology, and promote the application and development of AR technology in the field of tumor radiation therapy.Methods Relevant literatures were retrieved from CNKI,PubMed and Web of Science databases from January 1,2000 to April 5,2022 with the keywords of augmented reality and radiotherapy.Inclusion criteria:(1)The development status of AR technology.(2)The application of AR technology in the field of tumor radiotherapy.Exclusion criteria:(1)Full-text literature cannot be obtained.(2)Patent literature.(3)Repetitive literature.Based on the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, 43 articles were finally included.Results AR technology has shown huge application prospects in various aspects of tumor radiotherapy, including education and training, radiotherapy positioning, radioactive seed implantation, radiotherapy plan evaluation, and respiratory control during radiotherapy.Among them, the application of AR technology in radiotherapy education and training is a relatively easy development direction in the short term.Radiotherapy positioning and radioactive seed implantation require high precision, so it is urgent to solve the key challenge of AR technology.Moreover, the feasibility and practicability of using AR technology to assist patients with respiratory control need to be further explored.Conclusions It is believed that with the breakthrough of AR key technology and its closer combination with tumor radiotherapy, radiotherapy will be promoted to develop in a more intelligent and precise direction.
