Mixed Inhabitancy of Goguryeo Survivors in the Territory of the Tang Dynasty

唐朝灭亡高句丽后,希望将高句丽的遗民迁至本国,由此消除叛乱的可能性。移居唐朝的高句丽遗民按照身份、经济基础和军事能力的不同,散居于首都、农耕地带和边疆等地,他们一起群居,彼此依靠,谋求生存。他们长期保持高句丽人的认同感,既居住在唐朝的疆域,同时又过着具有高句丽人身份的边缘人的生活。

After it annihilated Goguryeo, the Tang Dynasty tried to eliminate any possibility of rebellion by relocating Goguryeo survivors to its own country. Those survivors who migrated to the Tang Dynasty scattered in the capital,farming areas and frontiers according to their different identities, economic bases and military capabilities. They lived together in groups and depended on each other to make a living. They have long maintained the identity of Goguryeo people and lived as marginal people with the identity of Goguryeo in the territory of the Tang Dynasty.
