Objective To explore the conception and preference of quality of life that Chinese values from the dimensions and items of generic quality of life measures in China. Methods Databases including CNKI, Wanfang, CQVIP, Medline, Embase and PsycINFO were searched from the inception to April 2021 to obtain all the generic quality of life measures in China. The basic information, development trends and setting of included measures were further extracted and summarized from measures’ original development articles. Then the content of included measures was analyzed. Results A total of 16 generic quality of life measures in China were included, and 32 original development articles were traced. The dimensions of included measures were mostly concentrated in physical and psychological aspects, less in social aspects.
