Zhang Shenfu and the Sinicization of Marxist Philosophy

张申府是马克思主义哲学中国化的重要开创者。他广泛而专业地译介马克思主义经典原著及欧美、日本马克思主义文献,为马克思主义哲学中国化提供了多样化思想资源和理论视野。他具有鲜明的独立自主意识和主体创造精神,1922年就提出马克思主义中国化的时代课题;他准确地把握住了“实践的唯物主义者”真谛,最早把“和谐”范畴纳入唯物辩证法,并较好地解决了“唯物主义”与“理想主义”、唯物辩证法与形式逻辑等关系问题;他倡导“创造的马克思主义”,在唯物辩证法与逻辑解析法相结合、马克思主义哲学与中国传统辩证唯物论相会通、创立“大客观”“具体相对论”等方面做出了可贵探索。张申府的哲学之路以及他试图破解的思想难题仍有待当代思想界深入研究与推进。

Zhang Shenfu(张申府1893⁃1986)is an important pioneer of the Sinicization of Marxist philosophy.He extensively translated and introduced the original Marxist classics and the Marxist documents from the West and Japan,which provided diversified ideological resources and theoretical perspectives for the Sinicization of Marxist philosophy.Distinctively self⁃reliant and creative,he proposed the Sinicization of Marxism,a topic of the time,in 1922.With accurate understanding of the essence of“practical materialism,”he was the first to put the category of“harmony”into materialist dialectics,and disclosed the relationship between materialism and idealism,and between materialist dialectics and formal logic.He advocated“creative Marxism,”and made valuable explorations in such aspects as the combination of materialist dialectics and logical analytic method,the integration of Marxist philosophy with traditional Chinese dialectical materialism,and the theorization of“greater objectivity”and“concrete relativism.”Zhang’s philosophy is still a valuable resource to be further developed by the contemporary ideological circle.
