基于图里翻译规范理论的卫礼贤和闵福德《易经》翻译对比研究

A Contrastive Study on the Translation of YI Jing by Richard Wilhelm and John Minford Based on Turi’s Translational Norms

《易经》这部经典作品被翻译成各种语言,在西方广为传播。20世纪70年代,吉迪恩·图里提出了翻译规范理论。该文以吉迪恩·图里的翻译规范理论为指导,对相隔90年的卫礼贤和闵福德的《易经》英译本进行对比研究,通过对比翻译技巧,找出制约两位译者的规范。以期为《易经》的英译研究提供一个新的视角,为《易经》的重译提供参考。

The classic YI Jing has been translated into various languages and spread widely in the West.In the1970s,Gideon Turi put forward the translational norms.Guided by Gideon Turi’s theory of translational norms,this paper makes a comparative study of the English versions of YI Jing written by Wilhelm and Minford 90 years apart,and tries to find out the norms that restrict the two translators by comparing their translation skills.It is expected to provide a new perspective for the study of the English translation of YI Jing and provide reference for the retranslation of YI Jing.
