中西思维方式差异视域下汉英翻译中的静态与动态转换--以《围城》英译为例

Static and Dynamic Transformation in Chinese-English Translation in the Perspective of the Difference Between Chinese and Western Thinking Modes--The English Translation of Fortress Besieged as an Example

思维方式差异影响语言的表达与输出。翻译是双语转换的能动性过程,实质上也是思维的转换过程,必然会受到思维差异的影响。在探讨翻译策略时,只有深入了解思维方式差异,透彻分析语言文化,才能揭示翻译中的一般规律,以提高翻译能力与翻译质量。该文试图通过探讨中西思维方式差异,分析《围城》英译中静态与动态的转换过程,得出一定的翻译规律与策略,揭示思维方式的影响,希望能对翻译活动起到指导作用并带给译者一些启示。

Different thinking modes affect language input and output.Translation is an active process of language transformation.In fact,it is also a process of thinking transformation,which is inevitably affected by different thinking modes.Only by taking insight into different thinking modes and thorough analysis of language and culture can we reveal the rule of translation,so as to improve the ability and quality of translating.This paper analyzes the differences in Chinese and Western ways of thinking,based on the analysis of transformation in static and dynamic tendencies in the English translation of Fortress Besieged,and tries to reveal the laws and strategies of translation and the influence of thinking modes on translation,so as to play a role in translation practice and also provide implications for the translators.
