在世界多极化、经济全球化、文化多元化的今天,随着中国综合实力与国际影响力的不断增长,文化的传承与传播是必要的且务必落实到位的。考察一国以往翻译之活动,必与该国的文化语境、民族兴亡和社会发展等诸维度相联系。埃德加·斯诺作为美国记者,踏遍中国大地进行采访报道,通过详实、客观的新闻通讯,极大程度地颠覆了西方人对中国的认知。《西行漫记》一书的发表带来了新一轮的思想浪潮,其记载了中国的真实面貌,展示了更为贴切、积极的中国人民形象,在中外文化交流中具有重要作用。该文通过对《西行漫记》的研究及与中译版的对比,总结文化传播中的注重点,分析如何在语言翻译过程中不失文化内涵地做到中外文化的传播与交流,以期发掘更深层次的文化内涵,为更多的文本翻译提供借鉴。

With the development of multi-polarization,economic globalization,cultural diversity and the continuous increase of China's integrated strength and international influence,cultural inheritance and transmission is necessary and must be implemented in place.The investigation shows that a country's previous translation activities must be related to the country's cultural context,national rise and fall,social development and other dimensions.As an American journalist,Edgar Snow traveled all over China to cover the country,and through his detailed and objective newsletters,he greatly subverted Westerners'perception of China.The publication of the book Red Star Over China brought a new wave of ideas,which documented the real face of China,presented a more relevant and positive image of the Chinese people,and played an important role in the cultural exchange between China and foreign countries.The paper summarizes the points of emphasis in cultural communication by studying Red Star Over China and comparing it with the Chinese translation,and analyzes how to achieve the communication and exchange of Chinese and foreign cultures without losing the cultural connotation in the process of language translation,in order to explore the deeper cultural connotation and provide reference for more text translation.
