摘要

Shanghai Girls is a best-selling novel written by Chinese American writer Lisa See.Using the first person retrospective narrative and the voice of Chinese American women,the writer describes the friendship between a pair of Chinese immigrant sisters and the themes of war,immigration,identity and love.The author intersperses real historical events and fictional plots in the novel so as to reconstruct history through literary imagination and awaken people’s memory of war and immigration experience.
