The Bride Comes to Yellow Sky, written in 1898, has a fascinating storyline that ends abruptly at its climax and is thought-provoking. The plot development of the novel focuses on the influence of Jack Potter’s marriage on Yellow Sky, highlighting the theme of naturalism. However, the author finds that behind the development of its plot,there is also a parallel covert progression, namely patriarchy. In the process of complementing each other, the two express deeper thematic meanings, create a fuller character image, and cause readers to make complex reactions.
