语料库视角下汉英同传的显化现象探究

On the Manifestation of Chinese-English Simultaneous Interpretation from the Perspective of Corpus

该文基于自建的汉英同声传译语料库,研究汉英同声传译过程中的显、隐化现象。结果表明,在汉英同传中,译员对时态标示词的传译更加明晰。同时,译员使语法功能词和人称代词主语在英文中所指更加明确化。究其原因,汉、英两种语言存在差异,译者往往选择英文连接词来表达中文原句之间的隐含关系。此外,译文与具体会议传译的目的及译员的翻译策略有关。

Based on the self-built Chinese-English simultaneous interpretation corpus, this paper studies the explicit and implicit phenomena in the process of Chinese-English simultaneous interpretation. The results show that in the Chinese-English simultaneous interpretation, the interpreters deal with the tense markers more clearly. At the same time, they make the words of grammatical function and subjects of the personal pronoun more specific in English. As for the reasons, there exist differences between Chinese and English, and interpreters often choose English connectives to express the implicit relationship between Chinese original sentences. In addition, the interpretation is related to the purpose of the specific conference interpretation and the relevant translation strategies.
