An Interesting Exploration of‘Book list’During the Republic of China

一九二五年一月《京报副刊》向社会征求十部“青年爱读书、青年必读书目”的活动曾引起文化界轩然大波,这场活动牵扯到78位重量级文化名流,是中国文坛有史以来鲜有的、瑰集全国文化精英的一次思想意识(中西文化)大展示、文化取向(中国文化出路)大思考、文化见解大交锋!是一场影响空前的(全盘西化与兼容并蓄、固守传统与继承创新、文化否定与文化自信)文化大博弈。通过对这场活动的分析我们可以清楚地看到民国时期的“读史明智鉴往知来”,在历史的回眸中获得教益。

In January 1925,the"Peking Press Supplement"asked the society for ten"books that young people love to read and must read",and caused an uproar in the cultural circles.This event involved 78 heavyweight cultural celebrities,which is a rare display of ideology(Chinese and Western culture)contributed by the national cultural elites in the history of Chinese literature,a great thinking about cultural orientation(the outlet of Chinese culture)and a great confrontation of cultural insights!It is also a cultural game with unprecedented influence(overall westernization vs.inclusiveness,adherence to tradition vs.inheritance and innovation,cultural negation vs.cultural confidence).Through the analysis of this event,we can clearly see the"reading history wisely and learning from the past"in the Republic of China period,and gain lessons from the retrospect of history.
