On his first overseas trip since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic,Chinese President Xi Jinping traveled to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan,paying state visits to the two Central Asian countries from September 14 to 16.In Uzbekistan,Xi also attended the 22 nd Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization(SCO) in the city of Samarkand.
