The Origin of Higher Education in China

中国高等教育的起源问题,不仅是一个历史问题,也是一个理论问题。本文从这两个方面研究中国高等教育的起源。本文认为,高等教育是以高深知识为基础的人才培养活动,所以高深知识就构成判定高等教育的重要依据。先秦是中国的高深知识产生的时代,也是中国高等教育形成的时期。

The origin of higher education in China is not only a historical issue,but also a theoretical one.This paper studies the origin of higher education in China from these two aspects.It argues that higher education is a talent training activity based on advanced knowledge,and advanced knowledge should be the criterion for evaluating higher education.It argues that the pre-Qin period was the era in which advanced knowledge originated in China and hence the period of the formation of higher education in China.
