在转变中坚守——从传统文化视角看闻一多的两次转向

Persistence in Conversion:On Wen Yiduo’s Two Turns from the Perspective of Traditional Culture

与身份的两次转变相对应,闻一多之与传统文化也有两次转向:一是潜入国学与传统的“向内转”,这不仅是大学教师身份和研究者职业的需要,更体现出闻一多对传统的理解之同情;二是反观传统与走出书斋的“向外转”,体现了闻一多对待传统“里应外合”之智慧,是最后时期人民立场之下对传统的“否定”,是传统文人精神与风骨的外显。闻一多对传统文化的内在亲和力是一以贯之的,反对西化、提倡和实践新格律诗、研究国学和实践士人理想与气节等,不同时期的转变体现出传统文化在闻一多身上的不同显现方式。

Corresponding to the two changes of identity,Wen Yiduo also has two turns with traditional culture:one is to sneak into the"inward turn"of Sinology and tradition,which is not only the need of university teacher identity and researcher career,but also reflects Wen Yiduo’s sympathy for the understanding of tradition;secondly,looking back on the tradition and the"outward turn"out of the study reflects Wen Yiduo’s wisdom in dealing with the tradition of"internal response and external cooperation",which is the"negation"of the tradition under the people’s position in the last period,and the manifestation of the spirit and character of the traditional literati.Wen Yiduo’s internal affinity for traditional culture is consistent.He opposes westernization,advocates and practices new metrical poetry,studies traditional Chinese culture and practices scholars’ideals and integrity.The changes in different periods reflect the different ways of traditional culture manifested on Wen Yiduo.
