The Ethnic Memory of Yi Myth and the Sense of Chinese Community: Take the Myth of Human Origin as an Example

彝族的许多神话中蕴含着真实的历史信息,并且和汉族神话之间有着许多相似之处,它所传达的多民族共生和中华民族共同体意识十分强烈。以“人类起源”神话为例,其女神造人的时代,象征历史上人类共同经历的母系社会,“人类起源”神话中的“民族起源”神话母题,则是多民族同根同源、共生共荣的祖先记忆的保留。彝汉民族之间民族共性的原因彰显了二者亲近的地缘关系和深厚的感情,这一类神话对于强化中华文化认同、共铸中华民族品格,铸牢中华民族共同体意识都有着重要作用和意义。

Many myths of the Yi ethnic group contain real historical information,and have many similarities with those of the Han ethnic group.They convey a strong sense of multi-ethnic symbiosis and Chinese national community.Taking the myth of “human origin” as an example,the time when the goddess created human beings symbolizes the matriarchal society that human beings have experienced together in history,and the mythological motif of "national origin" in the myth of “human origin” is the preservation of the memory of ancestors who share the same root,the same origin and the same prosperity.The reasons for the ethnic commonness between the Yi and Han ethnic groups show their close geographical relationship and deep feelings.This kind of myth plays an important role and significance in strengthening the Chinese cultural identity,casting the Chinese national character together,and casting the Chinese national community consciousness.
