Thoughts on the Cultivation of Foreign Discourse Talents for English Majors in the New Era

培养和储备对外话语人才是新时代国家语言战略的重要构成。而传统的学科门类划分和单一的学科设置已难以满足新时代中国对外话语译介和传播的实践需求。该文围绕“为什么培养、为何依托英语专业培养和如何培养对外话语人才”三个问题,探讨高校英语专业培养“融通中外”的对外话语人才的动因、目标及实施建议。

Cultivating and reserving discourse talents for global communication is an integral part of the national language strategy in the new era. However, the traditional division of disciplines and the discipline-based modes can hardly meet the practical needs in translating and disseminating Chinese discourse to the world. This paper focuses on why discourse talents for global communication are required and how they are trained based on English major program, aiming to explore the motivation,goals and proposed approaches for colleges and universities in the cultivation of the talents who can "integrate China and the rest of the world" in the dissemination of Chinese discourse globally.
